How do I know what level I'm at?

We normally assess your current level before starting the first class.

What course levels are available (A1 to C2, beginner to advanced)?

From Beginner (A1) to Advanced (C2). Additionally, we have specialized courses, for example, Medical Terminology. The focus can be on general English, business English, exam or interview preparation, or entirely conversational classes.

What is included in each class?

Students can expect a mix of different approaches during each class, including grammar, conversation, pronunciation, writing, reading, and comprehension. Homework is assigned at the end of each class and the student is expected to complete it before their next class.

How long does each course last?

We work with students' individual mental capacity, so course duration may differ from one student to another. Progress depends greatly on how frequently students take their classes, do their homework, and put what they learn into practice.

Can I change levels if the class is too easy/difficult?

Yes. Tutors are attentive to ensure students are learning at the most appropriate level.

How can I pay for my class?

Depending on your location and preferred payment method, you can pay by credit card (for a small additional fee), PayPal, Zelle, Bancolombia, or Revolut.

When should payment be made for classes?

Payment must be sent and validated by the bank BEFORE classes can be scheduled.

Are there any discounts or promotions?

Yes. The 25-hour plan has a 10% discount. All students are eligible to receive a free class (referral bonus) for each new student they refer to us. Terms and conditions apply.

What is your refund or cancellation policy?

Once you have purchased any of the available LLS packages, you will not be entitled to any refund.

5. Class Logistics

How many students are in a class?

All classes are personalized. One tutor for each student.

Do I need to buy textbooks or materials?

No. Our tutors and our platform have all the necessary materials for class. We add new materials and lessons all the time.

Can I choose my own tutor?

Yes. However, we recommend using the tutor initially assigned to you, as we match the tutor's teaching style and personality to best fit the student's needs. If you have a varied schedule for your English classes, we cannot guarantee that you will have the same tutor for each class.

How frequent and how long is each class?

Each class lasts one (1) hour. Frequency is also discussed and agreed upon with the student. We strongly suggest a minimum of 1 to 2 hours each week for a productive learning experience.

When are classes scheduled?

We strongly suggest scheduling classes for the same day and time each week. We understand that some students have varied work schedules due to business travel and meetings, so we will work with you to schedule at your convenience (as long as there is schedule availability).

What happens if I'm late or miss a class?

Please notify your tutor if you need to be late. Please note that no extra time will be added at the end of the class to compensate for lateness. ABSENCES: If you forget or don't show up to your scheduled class, the lesson time will be deducted from your plan total.

Can I cancel or reschedule a class?

You can, however, cancel or reschedule a class. Please notify your tutor at least 12 hours BEFORE the scheduled class. If you notify your tutor less than 12 hours before the scheduled class, the time may be deducted from your plan total.

What happens if I buy a plan or set of hours but don't schedule any classes?

Classes must be completed within a reasonable time frame. Unless otherwise agreed, plans will expire as follows:

5-hour plans: 6 weeks from purchase date
10-hour plans: 3 months from purchase date
25-hour plans: 7 months from purchase date

Note: We highly value our students' time, so we will never schedule two classes at the same time.

6. Online Learning

What platform do you use for online classes?

We use a dedicated 100% web-based platform designed specifically for teaching. It features an interactive whiteboard so both tutor and student can write, draw, upload documents, etc. It also includes a chat option with a built-in translation function.

Do I need to install any software?

What happens if I have technical problems during class?

We will work with you to help resolve any technical issues you may encounter during class. Before starting your first class, we will provide you with a document with tips and suggestions to help you have the best possible learning experience.

Are classes recorded?

No video is recorded, however, the material, whiteboard information, and chat comments are saved in the class and you can return at any time to review past classes.
